Mel had just returned from a trip to New Mexico after spending a white Christmas with her family, only to discover that she had come down with the flu. Gobs of DayQuil later, she was able to perform the show. Unfortunately, while she was feeling ill after the set, she lost her camera at the show. The pictures on this site appear courtesy of Bruce Strohmeyer, who snapped a few pix on his digital camera -- THANKS BRUCE!!
If anyone found a Nikon OneTouch 35mm camera in a gray camera bag that night, or has any information about it, please e-mail mel@raven-mad.com Mel is offering a reward for the return of the camera and/or the two rolls of exposed film that were with the camera.

Wow, with that great big blank wall behind us, we should have brought the Raven Mad backdrop, which has thus far not made an appearance since our bar band days at the Last Call Bar & Grill in La Mirada. This shot makes our set look desolate -- the audience is behind the camera! And we did have a great audience; we met a lot of really cool metal maniacs that night, as well as hanging out with our old and dear friends.
This was, unfortunately, our last show with our current line-up, as drummer Joe Versategui has departed from the band. Raven Mad would like to thank Joe for being a killer drummer, a wonderful friend, and a great inspiration to us in the three years he has been a part of this band. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors! Thanks Joe!!
