The Tiny World of the Crackerbox
(Fullerton, CA)

Our first lockout studio was nicknamed "The Crackerbox" because... well... it was about the size of a crackerbox. The room was probably originally intended to be a drum room, or to house a small ensamble of violins, but somehow we managed to stuff Joe's HUGE drumkit into that tiny room and still managed to fit William and Mel. "Awakened" and "Into the World of Deceased" came to life during our Crackerbox days.

 

No, Mel didn't suddenly spout a few feet above her normally diminutive height. Often, to get a breath of fresh air and to avoid nicking her new Mockingbird, Mel had to stand on her amp during rehearsal.

Joe started to notice his drumsticks were never in the same place he left them and Mel began to discover the settings on her amp were always consistantly in a different place. Someone's been drumming on my drums... Someone's been bassing on my amp... Time to move!

Well... what more can we say... it's William...
