Live at The Galaxy Theatre
Santa Ana, CA

November 10, 1999

Raven Mad got the privilege of opening for Yngwie Malmsteen at the Galaxy Theatre on November 10th. This was the largest, most professional show that Raven Mad had ever played, with nearly 400 people in the audience! Despite a few sound problems, the show went very smoothly, and was definitely a success!

Special thanks to Chris Silva for taking care of the band both onstage and off and being positively wonderful! to Denis "The Moshking" Recendez for manning the camera and for promotion of the show on his website, The Moshking's Southern California Metal Update, and to Tara Widner, for helping with the mailing list.

Even with Yngwie's stuff on stage, there was plenty of room for Raven Mad to run around. Mel got to road test her new SWR bass amp. Thanks to Booger the soundguy at the Galaxy for helping to make the new amp sound excellent.

William played very well, despite a pinched nerve. Numb arm and all, he wailed away on his many killer solos. What a trooper!

Mel encourages the crowd.

When Joe presented his massive drum kit, the Galaxy sound crew, while mic-ing the drums, threatened, "You'd better hit every last one of these drums!" Joe surprised them all by doing just that tenfold. He doesn't travel light, but he definitely uses all he brings to provide the Raven Mad thunder!
