Raven Mad Invades Live Bait
Long Beach, CA

June 21, 2001

Time to cut lose! After a very quiet show at TC's, it was gret to get LOUD n crazy again, this time at Long Beach's premiere venue, Live Bait. Live Bait used to be the site of a popular KNAC night, and recently TheRockShow.Net has revived metal nights at Live Bait, and invited Raven Mad to play along with Jeff Ducan of Armored Saint's band DC4 and our friends from Rancore.

Man, look at the Fro now! Check out Fro Watch 2001 for more pictures. Raven Mad played a short half hour set filled with old classics, such as "Leadfoot" and the new tune, "Distortions of Reason"

Mel just flew in from Michigan, and boy, are her arms tired -- not too tired, tho, to raise her fist in the name of Metal. After playing the big bad bass at the Classic Metal Festival in Kalamazoo, MI with New Eden, Mel returned to Sunny Sunny Southern California for metal mad mayhem at Live Bait with Raven Mad. Check out her Odyssean adventures in Kalamazoo on the New Eden website.

Dave pulled off his second gig with great thunder behind his monsterous drumset. Did you know that this man takes metal seriously? He personally welded those awesome chain cymbal stands on his drumkit, and has some grand plans for some other drum works of art. Keep your eyes on Dave's set -- his *drum* set... ssheeeeesshhhh!!!

Live Bait has a killer stage set up that includes a roomy stage, lots of lights, smoke effects, and a great place for Mel to rest her tired feet.

Fro bravely flings his head back in metal ecstacy... or maybe it was complete and utter pain. Just minutes earlier, Mel treaded behind Fro to hop on Dustin's side of the stage at the exact same time Fro chose to toss his head back. The crack of his head against Melz BC Rich headstock might have made a collective groan resound throughout the audience, were it not drowned out by Dustin's wailing notes and Dave's thunder. Fortunately, the fro provided cushion for William's head and Melz bass, although he probably saw stars for the duration of the show.
