And gone but never forgotten...

Welcome to Melz Crazy Cat House, a glimpse into the life, times, and mind of a crazy cat lady in the making, a tribute to the felines that own and operate me.

I'm a cat person. I mean, I'm REALLY a cat person. In fact, I'm finding that if the whole metal band thing doesn't work out, I can still aspire to be the Crazy Cat Lady. You know, the weird old gray-haired woman, never married, who lives up the way in a creepy, run down house with her fifty cats. Well, I have two cats now, 48 to go...

A friend of mine told me a story about a crazy cat woman he once knew. He was doing some painting for her, and was absolutely horrified to discover an imprint of a cat skeleton underneath the very bed where she slept! Apparently one of her cats died under her bed and lay there long enough to decay and cause a chemical reaction to leave a permanent imprint on the floor! Could I become such a crazy cat lady such that the smell of litterbox and kitty spit overwhelms the ghastly smell of rotting kittyflesh? eeek! I sometimes see this woman in the mirror.

This site is dedicated Feles Natas, the original Internet cat, who passed away quietly in the night after 13 years of being such a good kitty. The Feles Page has been around since 1995 and was nominated as one of the 7 Wonders of the Web back when there wasn't much on the web!

The Desmond Page introduces you to the shy and skittish, yet luvvy long lanky kitter of my brood. The Molly Page documents the life and times the foundling who showed up in a paper bag at my window and has found her way to the deep and warm places of my heart.
