Rock n Roll Sushi Party
May 26, 2000

Dear friends and posse-members Tara and Doug found the perfect place in Hutnington/Seal Beach for an outing of Southern California's finest metalheads. The place was a Japanese restaurant called Daimon, which served sushi, teppen, sake bombs, all while a Japanese chef skillfully set things on fire and threw food into people's mouths. The unique thing about Daimon was that they were playing metal music in the restaurant!

There were about 20 people in attendance all-in-all, although 15-16 of us actually ate the food, which was very good! After the party, many of us ventured to Tara & Doug's house in Long Beach for an after-dinner party.

The party was divided into two different tables. Here are the people seated at the tables left and right... On the left side: Chrissy "drumslut" Sixx, Debbie, Debbie, Tony Stray, Carla, Raquel, Dave, and Cindy "Sin" behind the menu, a young girl named Heather, and Doug Kasper. On the right side, Wendy Moreno, Perry Grayson, Vic Baddour, Ana Greco, and Penis "Denis" Recendez. Not pictured: me, Tara Widner, Dino & Terri Morales, and Jason from Daemos.

A picture of everyone from the right side of the table: me, Jason, Wendy, Perry,, Vic, Ana, Penis, and Tara & Doug (seated)

Another picture of the posse on table right. Fingers are flying because we had been having a food fight, and when the picture was snapped, someone shouted "throw something!". The food fight was actually started by the cook, who was tossing little rice balls and shrimp into people's mouths, but Denis begin picking off his plate and hurling it across the table. Soon, his own water glass was filled with broccoli, pieces of chicken, and random vegetables found their way onto other people's plates. The next day I found a hard crispy ball of rice on the bottom of my shoe.

The cook chopped an onion and filled it with oils and spices to create this flaming volcano. Although the cook was quiet, he was nice enough to join us for a sake bomb toast.

Poor Wendy had just a little too much to drink and not enough to eat. Here she's having a hard time sitting up, supported by Perry, while Ana does... something? in the background and Vic pretends not to know any of them. What the hell is that in Ana's mouth??

Thanks to Tara and Doug for arranging one helluva fun evening! We headed off to their house after dinner for a bit of conversation and brewksi.

Now, go to the After-Dinner Party
