When he's not banging away on the drums, Dave enjoys football, chasing his pair of treasured felines Onyx and Akira, and metal -- both the music *and* the substance! The MAD drummer has a knack for working with the substance that lends its name to his favorite breed of music.

Drum heroes hailed by Dave are Tommy Aldredge, Gene Hoglan, Pete Sandoval, and Dave Lombardo just to name a few. He is also wont to admire great jazz drummers such as Louie Belson and Simon Phillips.
